FY Survival Guide
Updated for the 2023 intake
This September 2023 we proudly present your FY Survival Guide.
Back by popular demand, we hope to take on your previous feedback and cover important topics to help you feel more confident when starting work. Whether you’re a medical student or foundation doctor, we will be discussing tips such as preparing for on-calls, discharges, where to find help and post-op complications you might be expected to manage.
The second half of the series will feature a radiology week, how to maximise your foundation years and specialist tips to deal with more complex patients.
This series is run by doctors who have been in your position, and is filled with what we wish we knew when starting! We hope you find it useful for your journey as an F1 doctor.
Topics covered:
#1 How to get through your on-calls
#2 How to get the help that you need
